North West Leicestershire District Council

Cuttlefish first started working with North West Leicestershire District Council in 2008 when we developed an innovative Local Development Framework consultation website. The LDF website invited members of the public to register and leave comments next to each point of the Council's Core Strategy document - this received almost 2,000 responses in 3 months.

Our second site for North West Leicestershire was Footprints, a site dedicated to the Green Footprints Challenge - an initiative to help residents reduce their carbon footprint and promote reducing, reusing and recycling across the district.

Next was Coalville's Changing, a more community focused website about the regeneration of Coalville. The site invites members of the public to get involved and air their views and upload photos of the local area.

Towards the end of 2009 we worked in partnership with North West Leicestershire, Leicestershire County Council and Leicestershire Waste Partnership on the Freeuse LeicesterShire website that allows Leicestershire residents to give-away their unwanted items to further promote recycling and reuse.
